Lori Guy, founder of Girl Boutique, announced that Abby McNerney is the new owner of the store franchise, which relocated nearby to Club Village Drive on March 15 in a space that is twice as large as the former, nearby location. Guy, who will be moving to Springfield, will retain franchise rights and plans to continue building the brand. Girl Boutique also operates a franchise in Overland Park, Kansas.
Keeping Good Company, which was located next to Girl in the same development at Nifong and Forum boulevards, has moved to a smaller space on Club Village Drive, across from Hawthorne Bank. A medical group has taken over the previous space occupied by Girl and Keeping Good Company.
Sanron Development is holding a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Ashland Industrial Park on May 1.
The industrial park is located at the southern entrance to the Columbia Regional Airport off U.S. Highway 63. The development has eight shovel ready lots averaging 2.6 acres each, listed by Sanron at $2.25 per square foot. The first tenant to sign a lease is Samuel Excavating Corporation.
Sanron Development is a regional business located in Columbia that started in May of 2005 and have been focusing exclusively on the Ashland Industrial Park. Founding partners Bryan Duffield and Larry Butler said they saw a need for shovel ready commercially zoned property in Mid-Missouri. Partner Bill Harper has helped bring the project to a finish and introduce the area to prospective owners.
Flat Branch Mortgage received the certification necessary to become a local mortgage banking institution, which means the firm is authorized to underwrite on behalf of the FHA, VA, and USDA as well as all conventional loans. To reflect the change, the company will change its name to Flat Branch Home Loans on May 31.
Project Solutions has moved to 2005 W. Broadway, Suite 210, from 1390 Boone Industrial Drive, Suite 200.
Peak Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine will celebrate its 10-year anniversary on April 19. The company will host a celebration with its employees and guests at the Les Bourgeois Winery. The company opened in 1999 with locations in Columbia, Fulton and Jefferson City and now has 11 clinics in Mid-Missouri.
Pure Marketing and Media's work on Bleu Restaurant and Wine Bar's Web site, which won a Mid-Missouri Gold ADDY Award and Best of Interactive in February, went on to win a regional Silver ADDY in the American Advertising Federation's regional competition. Arable Entertainment, a Pure Marketing and Media Company, won second place in the 4K Challenge, a 72-hour international film competition. Each entry was given a tagline, and then charged with writing, filming and editing a 5 minute short film.
