Cherry Hill Market closes
Cherry Hill Market & Café closed Friday after only seven months as a food merchant in the southwest Columbia neighborhood.
Owners Kate and Roy Finley said the Cherry Hill Market, their first venture into the food business, was too much to juggle along with their other businesses involving property development and management.
“It’s been fun, but now we’re done,” Kate Finley said.
She said the couple will keep the equipment and space available for a while and are looking for an interested buyer. The market enjoyed loyal patronage from a “little fan club,” and she said she hopes someone can open a coffee shop or café in the space.
The space has held several businesses in the past several years, including the Upper Crust Bakery.
