University Chrysler dealership moving
University Chrysler-Jeep, which recently added the Dodge dealership taken away from Larry Estes, is moving to the 1310 Vandiver Drive dealership where Saturn used to be located.
Dave Drane and Danny Burks now have eight franchises in 3 locations. University Subaru will stay at their current location at 1200 I-70 Drive SW in Columbia. They also own Capitol Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Nissan in Jefferson City.
Drane and Burks have remodeled the Vandiver location and say it was designed to be warm and inviting, with comfortable couches and a fireplace for customers.
It’s been a tumultuous period for the auto industry, and Columbia has seen numerous changes in dealerships during the past year. The most recent was developments were Justin Perry’s decision to sell Perry Nissan to Gary Drewing, owner of Machens Automotive Group, and Honda dealer Don Albert’s decision to sell the Buick and GMC franchises to Bob McCosh Chevrolet
